South Korea: The Korea Concrete Institute has certified a new latex product, developed by Eugene Corporation and Tongyang, for use in crack control in concrete. The product forms a continuous film within concrete to suppress microcracking due to drying and shrinkage. Chosun Biz News has reported that the product reduces cracks by 80% compared with conventional fibre-reinforced concrete.
Eugene Corporation and Tongyang shipped more than 80,000m³ of latex press concrete produced at 90 sites across South Korea in the first nine months of the 2025 financial year.
