US: Software developer XBE has appointed Chris Wurtz its President of Ready Mix. Wurtz will oversee collaborations between XBE's product and engineering teams and ready-mix concrete customers. Wurtz joins XBE from fellow heavy building materials technology supplier Digital Fleet, where he served as Division President. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from South Dakota University in Brookings, South Dakota, and an MBA from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Wurtz’s appointment follows XBE’s merger with BCMI in June 2025. BCMI President Craig Yeack will now transition away from an operational role. XBE and BCMI together offer an integrated cloud platform for production, despatch, logistics and customer experience for heavy building materials.
